Mazi Orji hails from Etitiama Nkporo, Ohafia LGA, in Abia State. He had his early childhood education in his hometown of Nkporo. He went on to complete his higher education at the University of Port Harcourt between 1984 and 1989, as well as his national service (1990) in Niger State, where he was awarded the State Chairman's Honours Award for outstanding service. Mazi Orji worked in Nigeria for a while before moving to Finland in November 2001 to find better opportunities. He joined Igbo Union Finland in 2004 and went on to serve as Financial Secretary from 2010 to 2012. And between 2015 - 2019, Mazi Orji served simultaneously as General Secretary of both Igbo Union Finland and Nzuko Umunna Ndigbo in Finland. He has been the Chairman of Igbo Union Finland since 2019. Mazi Orji had, within this period of stay in Finland, undertaken various professional studies at both Edupoly and Helsinki Business College between 2014 - 2018. He is happily married with four children and loves rendering service to humanity and his community.
