From 2004-2005, Idiagboff-Prince Jerry Rawling served as the Igbo Union's secretary. In Finland, the Union is a legally recognized non-governmental cultural organization. All IGBO natives residing in Finland are eligible to join the Igbo Union of Finland. Our membership is made up of both Igbo citizens of Nigeria who reside in Finland and anyone who is interested in learning about and identifying with the Igbo culture. The union has 205 active members and has participated in cultural events for the past fifteen years. These events were created to provide union members with a sense of belonging in a culture where they are the minority.
